Job Title: Support Worker

Location: North Norwich and Attleborough

Salary: £14,176 per Annum + Enhancements

Our client knows that when one part of your life is going well, other things tend to fall into place. Supporting people to achieve little things on a daily basis enables them to achieve much more on a longer term basis.

You can enable people to achieve those small steps – whether it is supporting someone to get up and organised each day, supporting them to make their own decision about what to have for breakfast or to go to the cinema, shopping or a football match.

If you are passionate about supporting people and enthusiastic about supporting others to achieve their goals they want to hear from you.

Being a Support Worker is very practical. You will work hard to ensure the people you support take an active role in their community. You will need to have a flexible approach and be happy to think of and try different ideas if your first ideas don’t work. And to work as part of a team.

Supporting people with learning disabilities can be challenging and it is also extremely rewarding. If you are looking for a role where you can really make a difference to people’s lives, apply today.

If you have experience of supporting people, either in a paid or unpaid capacity, that is great. If you don’t, as long as you are committed, enthusiastic, value people compassionate and willing to learn you don’t need any formal experience. They will provide you with all the training and support you need.

They value people:

As well as valuing the people they support they value their staff. They want you to have all the skills you need to support people in the best way possible so they provide all the training you need to do this (They pay you to attend all of the training). They can support you to achieve recognised qualifications in Social Care.

You will work closely with the rest of your team, supported by a Senior Support Worker and/or a Team Leader and a Support Manager

This post is subject to an enhanced DBS check which will be provided by our client.
