In late 2010, Boeing Defence UK was awarded a contract from the UK Ministry of Defence called LogNEC Delivery Partnership. The LogNEC program is structured as a 10 year program which is to Sustain, Optimise, Stabilise, and Transform Defence Supply Chain Computing Information Systems. In order to execute the LogNEC partnership program, BDUK will maintain and enhance existing capabilities, as well as draw upon the considerable IT, Engineering, and Supply Chain resources of the worldwide Boeing Company to deliver Services-based capabilities to the UK MOD LogNEC customer and partner. Please note: the program has been renamed to SCIS DP(Support Chain Information Services Delivery Partnership). We are looking for a Solutions Architect to join the MJDI team within SCIS DP.
Responsibilities will include:
- The successful candidate will work within the programme to conduct a range of solution architecture activities on functions including Inventory Management; Supply Chain Management; Engineering and Asset Management; Asset Tracking & Visibility; Technical Publications; Support Equipment.
- Following defined Boeing processes and liaising with the military customer and technical experts, the candidate will be expected to develop and manage the system architecture for a domain within the programme.
- Responsibilities include working collaboratively within an integrated customer and supplier team to jointly deliver a transformed Defence logistic service.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Experienced in the use of Unified Modelling Language (UML).
- Demonstrable experience of working with staff at all levels, comfortable with conducting presentations and running workshops.
- Experience of the following:Archimate 2.0 notation, TOGAF, Business Process Modelling Notation (BPMN), Use Case and Scenario Modelling.
- Experience of working within a multinational Matrix management environment/structure and a large-scale, complex international organization, but also within small teams.
- The ideal candidate should also have experience in configuration and use of IBM Rational System Architect
