IT Support Engineer

An IT Support consultancy are looking for a new recruit to assist the team in pushing the business forward and to help them to continue to grow.

Their next recruit needs to demonstrate similar attributes but at the same time have the potential to bring fresh ideas and solutions to problems.

So what are they actually looking for?

First and foremost an IT support engineer that will work within their Edinburgh office assisting with 1st and 2nd line support calls from their business clients.

Travel to customer sites throughout Scotland, which might involve staying overnight.

Assist senior members of the team with project installations that can involve weekend or evening work.

A range of practical IT skills are necessary but you must also have the ability to learn new ones:

- Office, Windows and Apple Mac
- Windows Servers and Exchange Server
- Networking, Routers, VPN, Firewalls
- Office 365 and other cloud base solutions
- Mobile devices
- Virtualisation Technologies

The salary they will offer is really down to the experience you have and the potential you can bring to the company. If you have no businesses IT experience but are willing to work hard and prove yourself then you must have a confident business manner. If you have lot of IT experience then they will expect you to deliver from day one therefore allowing the company to take on larger IT projects.
