Headquartered in Watford, Hertfordshire we a specialist software developer and systems integrator providing enterprise software products, managed services and systems development and integration to the global insurance industry, with an 'on-time, on-budget' approach to the design, development, implementation and management of complex projects. 

The Technical Support Analyst Opportunity:

We are looking for a strong technician to assist our small technical support team with infrastructure builds and ongoing support of our RiskWrite Insurance system into client sites. RiskWrite is a web based J2EE application, typically residing on a 3 tier architecture (Web Server (Apache), Application Server (JBOSS) & DB Server (Oracle or EnterpriseDB / Postgres)) and the successful applicant will need to demonstrate the skills required to support all tiers of this infrastructure.

This is a key role responsible for the deployment and ongoing support of RiskWrite across multiple clients which requires a skilled & confident person wanting to make their mark in a diverse, fast moving and expanding team.

Technical Support Analyst Required Experience:

Mandatory Experience:

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the architecture and operational complexities of solutions deployed within a web multi-tiered environment and have hands on experience with the following technologies:

> Bash Shell scripts

> JBOSS Application Server (Oracle Application Server useful too)

> Redhat Linux

> Apache Web Server

> Apache Tomcat

> Oracle Enterprise RDBMS (DDL and DML experience), performance monitoring, configuration, patching

> J2EE deployment

Desired Experience:

> EnterpriseDB RDBMS (DDL and DML experience), performance monitoring, configuration, patching

> Experience of Web Application Firewall (WAF) technology

> JBOSS Clustering (HA)

> Windows Active Directory administration

You may have worked in the following capacities: Java Support Analyst, J2EE Technical Support Analyst, Senior Application Support Analyst, Senior Technical Support Engineer, Java Technical Support Architect.
