We are currently recruiting for an exciting Study Director role in Genetic Toxicology. This role is based in our Harrogate site. The job summary is as follows:

To be responsible for ensuring that studies carried out in the Genetic and Molecular Toxicology Department are conducted to the required standard and that any data generated meets with Study Director approval. To be the single point of study control and to take overall responsibility for the scientific, technical and regulatory conduct of all studies allocated, as well as for the interpretation, documentation and reporting of results.

To liaise with Laboratory/Support area Managers/Supervisors to ensure client timelines are adhered to. To liaise with Clients for all aspects of study design and conduct, regular liaison with the client is of primary importance.

The job role for the Study Director (SD3) will include the direction of studies with genetic toxicology endpoints and/or in vitro-tox endpoints.

Study Director - Experience Required:

- Previous experience of client management skills and technical expertise in the relevant business line is preferable

- Strong scientific background for multiple study types.

- Excellent organisational skills are essential for this position.

- Communication, teamwork and interpersonal skills.

- Knowledge and understanding of GLP and ISO 17025 (where required).

- Previous experience of Study Directing or knowledge of genetic toxicology/in-vitro tox endpoints required.

- Fully competent at grade 111 (SD2). I think this line could be deleted. It is only meaningful to internal applicants anyway

Study Director - Education/Qualifications/Certifications and Licenses Required:

This position is suitable for a candidate who has been educated to Degree or equivalent level, MSc or PhD.
