Solutions Architect- Mobile/Digital

What You Will Be Doing

Located in our Farringdon-based Mobility Hub, we are looking for talented business people with a digital edge to drive new mobile features and products into all our source markets. You will work closely with TUI Mainstream functions and source markets to understand their specific requirements, to act as the bridge between the business and Mobility Hub for a range of specific products/features, to ensure what is built in the Hub can be deployed successfully into our business and that our business is ready to handle these products. For features that will potentially be used by 20 million customers across 37 destinations and 11 source markets, this will be no mean feat.

Playing a key part in the Mobility Digital Hub, the purpose of the role is to identify & exploit existing and new technologies and develop the Mobile Architecture, Strategy and Roadmap in line with the Multi-channel architecture, Enterprise Architecture and Business Roadmaps and to act as the Solution Architect on associated mobile technology development programmes. What We Are Looking For

• A highly flexible, adaptable and resilient personality, with the ability to work in an international team environment
• Solid understanding and practical knowledge of architecture concepts, industry standards (egTOGAF) and best practice
• In depth understanding of mobile and multi-channel technologies
• Ability to think through holistically and take an end to end and progressive perspective for the solutions
• Excellent communication skills across all levels of the organisation and external 3rd parties/suppliers
• Demonstrated ability to lead a group of engineers through the completion of all phases of an app development project
• Ability to effectively interact with product managers and other organizational units such as Testing and Operations.
• Mobile application development experience: IOS (Objective C), Android (Java), Titanium Appcelerator
• Knowledge of MVC frameworks such as Backbone, Angularjs and Ember
• Knowledge of HTML5 and mobile frameworks such as Sencha touch, jQuery mobile, JQtouch and HammerJS
• Experience with NodeJS is also beneficial
• Comfortable in reading technical API documents from third parties to identify opportunities
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related disciplines and 4+ years experience in enterprise mobile architecture
