Job Title: Web Developer
Reporting To: Head of Technology
Objective: We require an experienced and enthusiastic front-end Web Developer with at least 3 years experience who will take responsibility for the maintenance and development of our desktop, tablet and mobile eCommerce and editorial websites.
Job Type: Permanent
Salary: 30k - 40k (dependent on experience)

Working Hours: 8:45am 5:30pm
Eligibility: Must be eligible to work in the UK

Isabella Oliver () is an award winning, vibrant, and fast growing online fashion brand. We sell womens fashion, designed in-house and sold almost exclusively online, across the world. Originally a specialist in designer maternity wear, in 2009 we expanded into non-maternity womens wear with the launch of Baukjen ().

The Role
Responsible for the maintenance and development of our eCommerce and WordPress websites.
Responsible for all website related projects.
Create briefs, where necessary, for our website platform provider.
Work closely with our website platform provider to ensure their deliverables are delivered to a high standard and quality.
Ensure content is uploaded to the websites, on time, and works correctly across all devices.
Manage releases to the websites in conjunction with our website platform provider.
Assist and advise our Marketing and Creative Teams with the development and implementation of website initiatives.
Provide development support for our Marketing and PR Teams with social media marketing activities.
Keep up to date on new website technologies.
Advise on website best practice.
Evaluate third party software.
Responsible for monitoring website stability and performance.

Experience and Technical Skills
Extensive knowledge of front-end transactional eCommerce website development using HTML4/5, CSS 2/3 and JavaScript. Working knowledge of PHP would be beneficial.
Extensive WordPress template development and CMS customisation with a working knowledge of custom post types, custom fields, advanced custom fields and short codes.
Excellent knowledge of responsive website development, i.e. media queries, fluid layout etc.
Excellent knowledge and working experience of browser compatibility, quirks and fall back techniques for old web browsers, i.e. IE7.
Good knowledge of JavaScript and JavaScript libraries, i.e. JQuery.
Comfortable using version control tools.
Good Adobe Photoshop skills.
Good communications skills and comfortable working with Marketing and Creative Teams.
Ability to take a design document and create a pixel perfect front-end web-based UI.
Highly aware of web standards and web site accessibility.
Experience with social media APIs and third party integration tools such as Google Analytics.
Good knowledge of website front-end optimisation.
Working knowledge of Ajax & XML.
Experience of eCommerce platforms, including CMS, would be beneficial.
Experience of Google Analytics and SEO and how these impact an eCommerce website.

The Ideal Candidate
Strong eCommerce development background.
Previously worked in online fashion.
Able to work on own initiative and confident handling projects.
Comfortable working closing with Marketing and Creative Teams.
Excellent attention to detail.
Hardworking with a flexible attitude.
Well organised and able to work towards tight deadlines.
