Senior R&D Electronics Design Engineer - Consumer Products - Cambridge
My client is looking for an experienced R&D Electronics Engineer of mid-senior level to join their team. With good knowledge of physics principles, the Electronics Engineer will join their market leading consumer product development company in which ground breaking electrical consumer products are developed.
The Senior Electronics R&D Engineer will carry out the following tasks within R&D, Design, Test & Support and Life Cycle Support:
* Early stage development and testing of new technology
* Using physics principles to define new technologies
* Mains and low-voltage electrical design
* Electrical and Electronic Design and Development of early stage ideas and product test rigs for lab testing
* Product testing and analysis to support on-going technology development and quality control
* Presentation of test reports to a professional standard using statistical analysis
* Liaising with Manufacturing, Quality team and Supply Chain team to understand current issues and help find solutions
* Testing and development support of the product life cycle to ensure ongoing quality expectations
The Senior Electronics R&D Engineer will electronics design experience in a commercial environment, and be degree educated in Electrical Engineering or Electronics Engineering or Physics with a passion for R&D and a 2:1 or above. The successful applicant will also be an analytical, organised thinker with the ability to work both alone and in a team environment, and have good time/project management skills.
