Based in Bexhill-On-Sea on the South Coast with over 1500 staff at our HQ we are currently seeking a Head of Marketing Communications to join the team on a permanent basis.
PURPOSE
- The development and delivery of an integrated brand and direct communications strategy.
- Managing profitable customer recruitment, building strong customer relationships and supporting retention of customers,
- Support diversification, business growth and increased campaign ROI.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Create and deliver the marketing plan and ensure that volume and income targets are met or exceeded.
- Develop a 'roadmap' for Marketing Communications, documenting the key project activity required to deliver commercially.
- Management and control of the 'offline' marketing budget, both direct and indirect.
- Sign-off and authorisation of marketing activity to ensure compliance and effectively manage reputational risk.
- Ensure that our marketing systems infrastructure and marketing software is capable of supporting our aspirations.
- Ensure that data and the marketing database are managed effectively, together with ensuring that the data is audited, cleansed and enhanced to meet our business needs
- Ensure that the marketing team delivers differential, responsive, integrated and inspiring direct communications.
- Ensure that activity is delivered in conjunction with agreed brand guidelines.
- Manage and motivate the Marketing team to ensure Hastings is able to achieve its objectives.
- Manage relationships with marketing agencies and suppliers. This includes selection, ongoing management, review and contract negotiation.
- Ensure that you (and any direct reports) are meeting customers' fair and reasonable expectations and provide fair outcomes. Question and challenge peers and managers where processes and procedures do not meet these expectations and any activity that does not place customers' interests at the heart of how we do business.
- Responsible for the effective identification, management and reporting of risk within your area of responsibility.
- Ensure there is appropriate debate, discussion and challenge of risks within your areas of responsibility. Enhance the risk management culture within Marketing for the effective identification, management and reporting of risk within your area of responsibility.
- Ensure completion of all training as mandated by the company and regulated by the FCA.
- Ensure that direct reports and self achieve and demonstrate levels of competence required to fulfil job requirements.

- Proven track record of meeting sales objectives through customer acquisition, development and retention programmes within budgeted expenditure levels
