Overview

The individual will be responsible for maintaining the capability of the site services, utilities and production equipment for the facility on a rotating shift pattern.

Education background;
HNC in Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics. Ideally with a time served apprenticeship although the HNC will be the minimum requirement.

Previous Experience
Multiskilled with a bias towards electrical systems maintenance experience with an understanding of mechanical repairs.
Knowledge of HVAC systems, gas pressure systems, pumps, motors, compressors and electrical distribution, DI water plant, effluent systems and water services.

Technical skills;
Computer Literate

Interpersonal skills;
Ability to work closely and communicate with all levels of management, engineering and technical staff.


KEY FUNCTIONS TO THE ROLE ARE AS FOLLOWS

Preventative and corrective maintenance of all the sites plant and equipment.
Fault finding and repair of technical failures
Undertaking improvement projects and tasks as part of the Equipment Engineering Team
Maintaining process control and ensuring that the process conditions achieve the required standard
Addressing and resolving process and site failures in a timely manner
Providing Technical support and assistance to vendors and contractors
Acting as part of the site Emergency Response Team, and liaising with emergency services during incidents
Ability to support the 24 hour, 5 day per week operation by working a shift pattern, but with some support for weekends where required.
Adhering to all internal safety, HR, environmental and quality guidelines & procedures.
