An exciting opportunity to join our Organisation as an Asset Improvement Engineer, based at the West Burton CCGT Power Station in Retford.
The Asset Improvement Engineer will be a technical specialist within Operations or Process disciplines, or an Improvement specialist relying on a combination of technical areas.
The role will involve accountability for the successful delivery of the CCGT business targets, plans and improvement opportunities, with the ability to use analytical tools to evaluate and analyse the plant, such as Heat Recovery Steam Generator, Steam Turbine, Gas turbines and other balance of plant process to identify areas for improvement and develop solutions to achieve optimum performance in all areas.
In addition to this the post holder will be responsible for the execution of small scale projects from concept through to handover, and must be able to work with internal and external resource to deliver these. Ensuring any project or change follows the CCGT Asset Management Strategy processes and procedures to achieve the required quality and timeframe, and within budget.
The role holder will need to be flexible and may be required to undertake other activity commensurate with their skills and expertise, on either a temporary or a permanent basis.
The ideal candidate will be Degree / HNC qualified in an engineering or equivalent discipline. Experience of working within an engineering background and operational experience in Thermal Efficiency, and Thermal Dynamics is a key requirement of this role.
