Job Title: Business Analyst
Location: Bolton, BL7 9RW
Salary: £18-25,000k DOE
Our client is a market leader in the electronic distribution of Financial Services products and works with many leading insurance companies. They have a network of over 1400 brokers through which it conducts its business by electronic data interchange (EDI).
The E Systems Dept. is responsible for software developments and is looking to strengthen its team with a Business Analyst.
The individual who undertakes this role must be highly organised and have excellent communication skills. Additionally, the individual must have the ability to multi-task and work under pressure, often working to very tight deadlines.
The role is open to considering part-time working patterns (our full-time pattern is 35 hours) and we would encourage applications from recent graduates with a relevant degree.
Duties and Responsibilities:
*Communication - leading workshops with key stakeholders and IT to gather requirements
*Documentation - producing and maintaining formal project documentation
*Presentations - present findings to key stakeholders
*Business Processes & System Diagrams - creating and maintaining documentation
*Organisation - ability to successfully prioritise own workload and meet deadlines
*Participation - actively assist the team to achieve the best possible results
Knowledge and Qualifications
*Minimum 2 years' business analysis and project management experience
*Good working knowledge of the software development life cycle
*Excellent business writing and presentation skills
*Insurance industry experience advantageous
Expected/Required Behaviours and Skills
*Highly numerate
*Analytical with a high level of attention to detail
*Effective and clear communicator
*Flexibility and ability to manage multiple demands and changing priorities
*Evidence of flexible, "can do" attitude; self-motivated and willing to maximise personal contribution to the role, departmental and overall organisational objectives.
*Ability to promote a positive and friendly culture
*Ability to build relationships and credibility with business partners and management at all levels
*Ability to work effectively in a team environment, happy to assist others with workload where necessary and to work towards team targets
*Ability to work to individual targets and timescales with a degree of autonomy for dedicated task
*Strong organisational and personal planning skills; self-disciplined approach to work
*Must be mobile/willing to work from multi-sites and become involved in different activities as required within the group
*Full UK driving license
