Green Recruitment Solutions are seeking a Project Engineer for a global market leader in Energy from Waste and related consultancy services, working for both private and public sector clients. The company has secured assignments to act as technical advisor for different waste disposal authorities and waste management companies in the UK and overseas. This work relates to the procurement of large EfW facilities through Public Private Partnership (PPP) type contracts. To assist in the management of these projects and due to additional expansion plans, our client is looking for one or possibly two Project Engineers to join the team.
This is an exciting time to join as you will have an opportunity to work on fresh projects and to make a significant contribution to the growth of the business and shape the way it happens. Therefore, you will be an important part of the global EfW organization. Depending on your profile, language skills and your availability you may also be asked to be involved in international projects outside the UK. In the first instance, your work is expected to relate to supporting the business in EfW PPP contracts. In this your work would predominantly focus across conventional EfW, Advanced conversion technologies (gasification & pyrolysis), Anaerobic Digestion and MBT performing:
- Feedstock assessments and analysis
- Conceptual design
- Feasibility studies
- Technical due diligence
- Technical adviser
- Lenders technical adviser
- Critical friend
The ideal candidate:
- Degree in Chemical, Process, Mechanical Engineering.
- Very strong project engineering and management skills and a successful track record of project delivery and project team work.
- At least 7 years experience with the management of complex engineering projects (i.e. projects with many stakeholders and interfaces between construction and installations)
- Good client relationship management skills
- Experience in public procurement and contracting (PPP/PFI and traditional projects)
- EfW experience and expertise (or alternatively power sector experience or expertise)
- Experience in conventional grate fired Energy from waste will be of particular interest.
- Waste sector expertise and experience
- Experience from working with private or public sector clients
