VACANCY: Industrial Disease Solicitor PQE 4 Years

Salary: £35,000+ (Dependent on experience & bonuses)

Our client are looking for an experienced 4 years+ PQE solicitor, with a specialism in non-deafness related cases, including asbestos related disease, HAVS, COSHH, VWF and Dermatitis to join our industrial disease department

Job Description

As one of the largest personal injury specialists in North West, we are now looking for a highly qualified solicitor to join our Industrial Disease Department, due to our continued expansion. In little over 3 years, our industrial disease department has already expanded to over 90 fee earners and has been nominated for several prestigious awards in regards to its continued excellence. We are now looking for an additional head of department to assist in handling our most valuable cases. We handle a number of high value and complex claims including VWF, Asbestos related illness, mesothelioma and dermatitis to name but a few.   • Salary: £35,000 upwards, dependent on experience + Bonuses

  • Working Hours: 9am to 5pm (with 24 hour office access)

  • Holidays: 20 days per annum + Public Holidays

  • Location: Bolton

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will:

  • At least 4 year of ID experience, including non-deafness related claims

  • Have worked with asbestos related cases from inception to conclusion

  • Have had experience managing and/or up to building a department

  • Having the ability to plan and prioritise

  • Experience using a case management system such as Proclaim or similar

  • Accuracy with record keeping, letters and Court documents and general pride in one's work

  • Good communication skills both verbally and written

  • Advocacy experience (or at the least) knowledge of the Civil Court procedures

  • Enthusiasm, drive and the desire to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment
