Our client is a social enterprise and a charity with a turnover of over £300m and is the UK’s largest provider of high quality housing and supported housing services and products. Their role is to provide general needs housing and supported housing services targeted towards helping some of society’s most vulnerable people take control of their own lives.
The Business Contract Manager is responsible for the operational delivery of care and support services in North London which are currently offender based and our older person’s accommodation across the North East Home Counties.
You will be responsible for leading on the delivery of continuous improvement in relation to: delivering our client’s promise; contract compliance; strong financial performance; colleague engagement and development. You will line manage a team of Senior Client Service Managers within a culture of client influence and living our client’s values therefore people leadership skills are essential.
You will develop relationships with clients, colleagues, commissioners and partners and your relationship management skills will be pivotal in developing future proof partnerships in new and expanding markets alongside effective multi agency working. Adept in operational and budget management, you will ultimately lead on the delivery of high quality services to clients in alignment with contractual requirements and commissioner expectations.
In order to succeed in this role, you must have recent experience of managing the delivery of a range of services on behalf of a number of commissioners (e.g. Health Care, Criminal Justice and Registered Services). You should also have experience of the adult social care/supported housing environment including regulatory requirements and a proven track record of delivering housing/care related programmes and services at an operational management level.
You will need to work flexibly and responsively across the geographical area of responsibility and travel to the area office based in Southampton, therefore a car is essential for work purposes.
You will receive strong leadership, coaching and professional development and work within a supportive, focused and dynamic team. With excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, you will have the ability to operate on your own initiative within organisational policies and in partnership with commissioners and others.
