Procurement Manager
Our leading company based in Peterborough is looking to recruit a Procurement Manager on a fulltime permanent position. The role will involve managing the procurement/buying team to ensure a professional and efficient service is provided to the business needs across multiple locations.
Job role:-
•Provide strategic direction for the purchasing function, that will support the overall business objectives of the company and provide long term breakthrough to generate sustained growth and profitability.
•Ensure adequate resource allocation, to enable the function / team to successfully achieve objectives / targets.
•Ensure appropriate Contracts, KPIs and SLAs are negotiated and in place with key suppliers.
•Provide coaching / mentoring; to lead to the empowerment of teams / individuals.
•Ensure optimal performance against the function budget, and the appropriate materials budgets.
•Develop value adding relationships with suppliers and cross-functional departments.
•Raise the profile of the purchasing function, both internally and externally.
•Champion the standards of operational, professional and ethical excellence.
To be considered for this role you MUST have relevant experience in Procurement/buying and ideally from a Construction/manufacturing/engineering background. You will be used to managing a team and have a proven track record of delivering results.
