This is a great opportunity for the next step in your career within a global business. If you have experience in managing people and are in the transport industry now, we are looking for you. Our Transport manager is responsible for managing a team of 18 drivers and loaders.

You will have experience in identifying opportunities for process improvement and will have driven quality and efficiencies within your current role. You will have had responsibility for your own P&L area and delivering on KPI's and SLA's.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing leadership, management and direction to a team of drivers.
• Managing the operation to deliver the financial, quality and operational targets.
• Identifying opportunities to improve the business; planning and delivering that improvement.

The Person:

Candidates for this position should have great people management skills with the ability to quickly earn the respect of your teams. You will also need to demonstrate that you can lead and inspire your team and make an impact from day one.

To be successful you will also need:

• A high degree of integrity, personal self-discipline and confidence.
• Excellent communication skills with the confidence and ability to deliver change.
• A strategic approach to the job, being prepared to challenge the norms and capable of using your initiative.

The position is based in Bristol with some flexibility of working hours around a core base, and occasional requirement to work week-ends. In addition you will need a driving licence and the willingness to work hard to achieve your ambitions. A CPC qualification would be an advantage.
