HR Systems Analyst
Birmingham
Salary £27,000 to £30,000 p.a. depending on experience
Full Time, 35 hours per week
12 Month Fixed Term Contract
QUALIFICATIONS
- Good standard of education - good GCSE or A level grades (or equivalent).
- A HR Qualification or equivalent is desirable.
EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE REQURIED
- At least 3 years previous analysis experience, ideally with experience of extracting data from a management information system.
- Experience of using and maintaining a relational database ideally in a HR environment.
- Experience of working within a busy HR administration team.
- Experience in reporting and analysis.
- An understanding of system maintenance and data quality issues.
- An understanding of HR policy, procedures and practices would be an advantage.
THE ROLE
As a HR Systems Analyst you will use the HR systems and other available tools to provide relevant data and value added analysis that can be used for business decisions at all levels. Your responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring close links are maintained with all internal clients so that their requirements are understood and challenged, where appropriate, to deliver the best possible service.
- Liaising with relevant teams to develop and deliver high quality Data and MI to the wider HR team and the business on large dependant projects.
- Data gathering and statistical analysis in the delivery of firm-wide HR projects - eg Pay and Bonus Review.
- Developing and maintaining reports using Crystal Reports.
- Using the HR systems and other available tools to drive a performance culture and suggest efficiency improvements.
- Developing and maintaining good relationships with all stakeholders e.g. all HR team, IT and Finance Teams, external organisations and the wider business as required.
- Providing support and guidance for the Shared Services team regarding day to day system queries.
- Acting as a technical ambassador for other teams within HR Shared Services to improve the quality of information input and exported into the HR system.
- Providing support, document and implementing any change requests to the HR system in co-operation with other relevant teams e.g. IT, Finance. Use this process to ensure all changes are assessed for risks and benefits.
- Presenting new ideas and ensuring that any system or process changes are fully integrated into the relevant teams.
- Presenting data in a format that is clear, accurate and meaningful to the client.
- Ensuring that the implications of the Data Protection Act and the company data security policy are considered in all system processes.
- Using Business Objects, SQL and any other applications available to enhance the quality of information and processes.
THE PERSON
You will have good general awareness f relational databases and HR systems as well as excellent data analysis and attention to detail. The ability to present data in a meaningful format to the client is also important as is excellent customer service and communication skills. Proficient IT skills are essential including advanced Excel, look ups and pivot tables.
