Randstad Education require 2 experienced Teaching Assistants to work as part of a class team supporting children who have temporarily been excluded from mainstream education.

These children will be KS2 and you will be working with them either on a one to one basis, leading smaller groups or as support within the classroom.

Candidates that have previous experience working with children with challenging behaviour would be an advantage, whether within a classroom environment or at alternative provisions such as activity centres, summer camps etc.

The children within this environment are no longer within mainstream education, mostly due to behaviour issues due to an array of special needs. Randstad are working in partnership with this client to cover a long term vacancy for a minimum of half a term with the potential of a permanent position. Behaviour management and de-escalation skills will be a huge part of the role as well as aiming to engage the students into learning within an alternative education environment.

If you have similar experience and this sounds like the ideal opportunity please call Wendy as soon as possible or email your CV to become part of a team where you can make a real difference to a young persons future.
