Senior Mechanical Engineer

Job Elements: -

• To provide timely and accurate feedback on engineering issues and corrective actions to the Engineering Manager
• To participate in various CI activities and promote CI within the Engineering Team.
• To gain an understanding of the equipment on site such that breakdowns can be anticipated and/or designed out.
• To assist the Engineering Manager/Engineering Team in the planning and installation of new equipment.
• To maintain and improve plant equipment through sound mechanical maintenance.
• To participate in and lead the development and improvement of the safety, quality and productivity of plant equipment.
• To participate in the investigation and correcting of process, product and quality related issues.
• To assist in the execution of planned, preventative and scheduled maintenance where appropriate.
• To provide advice and guidance to all fellow Engineers on mechanical issues
• To ensure that all Health and Safety procedures are adhered to and that all mechanical engineering work is conducted in a safe and appropriate manner.
• To develop improvements to site equipment and source suppliers for parts where required.
• To participate fully within the engineering team and the wider business in delivery of budgets, targets and business objectives

The ideal candidate will have:

• HNC/D in Mechanical Engineering minimum level of education.
• Heavy engineering experience
• CI experience.
• Cap-Ex project experience
