We're Hiring!
We have an exciting new opportunity for a Community focussed Marketing Manager to join our Marketing and Digital Product Management Department. The main responsibility of this role will be working with Cell and Molecular Biology journals but there will be an element of working with books, so the ideal candidate will need to be flexible in their responsibilities and approach.
This role requires a professional with proven strategic and operational marketing expertise, who can drive marketing strategies and effectively manage relationships with our partners. The ability to be flexible to work across product types and formats is desirable and the candidate should have previous experience in the marketing of scholarly content to a diverse group of customers. Having experience with social media as a marketing tool would also be beneficial.
The successful candidate will be expected to:
> Substantiate the brand as a trusted and authoritative content provider
> Increase engagement with communities, key influencers and advocates
> Increase traffic to our Online Content Library
> Collaborate with senior members of the team and all of Marketing and Digital Product Management on creating and implementing marketing campaigns within the relevant framework
> Contribute to product development and pricing decisions and to create the marketing component of annual reports for journals within given portfolio titles
> Deliver continuous ROI improvement and to deliver marketing campaigns within assigned budgets
> Evaluate performance and use analytics to develop focus, format and message for future campaigns and future strategies
Community Marketing Manager Selection Criteria:
> Excellent analytical skills
> Strong communication skills
> Excellent social media skills with proven experience of writing strategy and executing social media plans
> Able to think creatively and solve problems
> Experience in marketing planning and implementation
> Sound knowledge of systems and process which support the marketing function
> Understands market issues and customer needs
> Can critically evaluate and improve processes and performance
> Education to degree level or equivalent in marketing or related discipline is essential

Other Information:
> Should have the right to live and work within the UK
