The Role:

The Business Process Analyst will be responsible for supporting the capture, analysis, validation and revision of regulatory statements, business rules and business requirements within the company's business modelling toolset.

You will ensure that intergrity and quality standards, used to analyse and model rules and requirements, are applied consistently.

Contribute and establish a complete set of rules and requirements that provide a basis for Xoserve to hand-over to self-assuring solution providers and those testing the resultant self-assured solution design.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyse business rules and requirements for  changes to gas industry regulations and trace them to Xoserve processes and data with a business modelling toolset.
  • Assist tracing test cases to business rules, requirements and processes within Xoserve's toolset
  • Ensure that defined business rules and requirements satisfy qulaity criteria and ensure compliance with gas industry regulations and are aligned to internal and external objectives.
  • Facilitate revision to inadequate rules and requirements, guiding parties to remove ambiguity and create a fit for purpose requirement  definition
  • Identify model integrity problems and facilitate required corrections to tracing to ensure a fully traced complete model
  • Communicate with Stakeholders and colleagues to identify and introduce ideas for ongoing continous improvement and best practice standards and methods for rule and requirement, analysis, review and definition

Essential Skills:

  • Working knowledge defining fit for purpose, rules and requirement definition
  • Experience of managing a complex set of inter-related data, using tools
  • A proactive and logical approach that will ensure quality outputs for those responsible for implementation and testing
  • Knowledge of business modelling tools and their use (such as but not limited to; RRC, Visio, Mega, and Case Wise).
  • Extensive verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to build and maintain working relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Attention to detail, combined with the ability to identify and seek continuous improvement of process and procedures
  • Sound time management skills with the ability to prioritise and escalate issues and risks whilst ensuring attention to detail at all times and a successful track record of delivering to agreed deadlines and budgets
  • Well-developed skills in using MS Office, including Excel and Microsoft Project and Visio
