Nelson, Lancashire
Within the range £20,359 - £22,145 pro rata (Fixed point)
40 weeks per year (term-time equivalent), one year fixed-term contract
Our client is located in Pennine Lancashire. They have a long-standing reputation for academic excellence and are an ‘Outstanding’ College. They were top of the ‘value added’ A-level league tables in 2012/13.
An excellent opportunity has now arisen for a Schools Liaison Officer to join them on a fixed term basis for 1 year, working 40 weeks per year (that is, the equivalent to term-time only).
They are looking for an enthusiastic candidate to play a key role in supporting College recruitment and promoting their offer/brand to young people throughout our catchment area. The role of Schools Liaison Officer would be ideal for someone who has a great flair for sales/promotion, is committed to customer care and is a strong relationship builder.
Representing the College, the role will involve being out and about in the community delivering key school events to drive student recruitment. This will involve the delivery of presentations to engage a youth audience. This is a great opportunity for a passionate and motivated individual who can work independently and flexibly and is passionate about the College brand. You will also work closely with our Marketing department to develop College materials and support College events.
In order to be considered for this role, it is essential that you are qualified to Level 2 or equivalent, however a Degree Level qualification in a relevant subject would be highly desirable.
With experience of delivering presentations, you will be a strong relationship builder and will work with our school partners and curriculum team to help build links and opportunities for working in partnership and maximising recruitment.
The successful candidate will be extremely organised, able to work on own initiative and have a flexible approach to delivery. You will be an exceptional communicator and be an engaging and enthusiastic presentation deliverer.
You must also be willing to work flexibly (to include evening work) and have a current driving license and access to a car.
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Software packages, in particular PowerPoint, will be essential.
Previous sales/promotional experience and experience of working within an education or training environment are desirable.
Closing date for application: 12 noon, Friday 15th August 2014
Interviews to be held w/c 25th August 2014
