THE ROLE
Reporting to the UK Copy Manager and working closely with the copywriting and copy-support team, you will write online/offline copy and editorial, that is brand aligned, local market specific and search engine friendly. Your responsibilities will include:
•    Translating, editing and proof-reading copy from US produced catalogues and printed media (offline) ensuring it is correct and relevant for local market.
•    Working with the proof-reading team to ensure smooth flow of work and level of accuracy.
•    Writing online copy to the appropriate brand standard for the website, e-mails, social media and any non-print media for retail, internal and external communications. 
•    Updating online product copy and maintain multi media alignment of copy and campaigns.
•    Managing your workload on a day-to-day and book-by-book level, ensuring work is produced according to production schedule.  
•    Making sure you fully understand the process, expectations and workflow. 
•    Communicating any risks to not meeting the seasonal schedule.
•    Being aware of copy that may be viewed as illegal or unethical and raise concerns with solutions.
•    Maintaining open and productive communications with the Global Creative team in the US, including Global Copy Director.  

THE PERSON
You will be educated to degree level (or equivalent), articulate and have a background in copywriting or journalism.  You will have strong creative writing skills and the ability to conceptualise and implement strong selling strategies. Experience of writing for the fashion or clothing industry would be a distinct advantage. 

You will be a team player who nevertheless can work independently with consistent accuracy even when under pressure and is practised at managing a varied workload and identifying priorities.
