Weekend Support Worker

A Weekend Support Worker is required to work with a sociable boy aged 8 years who has cerebral palsy.

Experience of providing childcare, particularly experience in special needs would be an advantage.

A confident car driver for the adapted vehicle is essential.

The role will include helping with therapeutic play, therapy exercises, assisting with swimming and supporting him to have fun with outdoor and community activities.

You will help him to eat, attend to his personal hygiene and with moving and handling.
Training will be provided.

Hours: 8.30 - 13.30 or 13:30 - 19:30 on a Saturday and 13.30-19.00 on Sunday
Hours can be worked flexibly as alternate weekends or only Saturday/ only Sunday Shifts

Rate of Pay: £12.50 per hour
Full driving licence is required for this post.

The position requires a disclosure request from the DBS.
