Customer Service/Internal Sales Executive

Knight Strip Metals is a privately owned group of companies incorporated over 70 years ago.  We are a premium supplier and processor of precision strip metals. 

We require a Customer Service/Internal Sales Executive.  Duties will include:

•       Deal directly with customers by telephone or electronically

•       Respond promptly to customer enquiries

•       Handle and resolve customer complaints

•       Provide pricing and delivery information

•       Identify new business opportunities with existing customers

•       Follow up prospective customer leads and convert to sales where possible

•       Process orders, forms, applications and requests

•       Manage customers' accounts

•       Maintain customer databases

•       Manage administration

•       Communicate and coordinate with internal departments

Knowledge and Experience:

• Previous experience within sales/marketing
• An engineering/metals background
• Competent in relevant IT packages especially Word, Excel, and Outlook, with an ability to learn internal systems.

Skills and Personal Qualities:

• Educated to GCSE level or equivalent
• Exceptional customer relationship building skills
• Ability to understand technical products/applications
• Confident telephone manner
• Works well in a team and with a wide range of people
• Organised and methodical, with attention to detail
• Self motivated
• Willing to undertake ad hoc tasks as requested by line manager
