We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Social Care Service Delivery Manager with HCPC reigstration to work for our client, Hertfordshire County Council. The role will be to work as a part of the group of Service Delivery Managers, accountable to the Head of Srvice (as delegated) managing one of five social care teams within the Social Care Access and Housing Solutions Service; .Inform and Advise Team (County Wide) .See and Solve Team (East or West) .Service Solutions Team (East or West) Each Team will have specific responsibilities and functions within the Service but all teams will be expected to work closeley together, and particularly with the Deputy Head of Service to ensure the serivces operating pronciples are adhered to. Primary responsibilities within this context are: .To be responsible for determining team priorities, assessing and reviewing customer need and risk, enabling customers to resolve their concerns or issues in a safe consistent manner ensuring good customer care and the efficient delivery of quality services. .To manage and (with Team Leaders) provide professional supervision to a team of staff, as well as managing the associated budgets and the effective commissioning of services from suppliers (either by or for customers) .To contribute directly to strategic planning and budget management .To establish, maintain and encourage high professional standards of customer practice. Service Delivery Managers within the Inform and Advise and See and Solve Teams will ensure that an operational service is available that is consistent with agreed customer pathways namely: .Advice or support finding advice to services or support networks. .Assistance in purchasing services which they intend to privately fund .A facilitated assessment service which actively supports citizens in finding resolutions to their presenting issue through signposting, or access to an enabling or re-abling service through the provision of small aids and equipment or support in the home. .Support in their homes through the provision of a major adaptation or equipment. .Initial identification of longer term needs that require extended involvement and support. Service Delivery Managers within the Service Solutions Teams: - A service finding and brokerage facility which actively supports citizens in providing advice and finding services that meet a citizens need(s). - A Support Plan Review Service which actively supports citizens in reviewing their needs to ensure they are appropriate, safe and are meeting their objectives This is a full time post, however interested part time applicants are encouraged to apply for due consideration. This is a dual role of which a proportion is under the governance and employment terms and conditions of Hertfordshire County Council. Full details of which will be discussed during the interview process. Experience of the following is essential; . Management of teams or Social Care Service areas, which includes business planning, the allocation of resources, the management of budgets . Leading and managing within a customer care framework. . Effectively organising a range of resources, including budgets, to meet differing priorities and to demonstrate creativity and innovation in their delivery. . An ability to focus on results, work to deadlines and meet performance targets. . Knowledge of legislation, regulation and guidance relating to Adult Social Care Services and in particular understanding of the community care legislation. . Delivering a customer-focussed service Essential requirements: . Relevant social or healthcare qualification and educated to degree level equivalent. . Registration with HCPC . Relevant experience as a successful Team Manager. . Experience of quality and performance management
