Working as a Support Worker can not only offer you that, but also extensive accredited training and genuine opportunities for career progression. Whether you have previously worked as Support Worker or Care Assistant, or are looking for a complete change of career, our client believes that everyone has something to offer, and that life skills, the right attitude, values and genuine desire to help people improve their lives are the most important characteristic of a Support Worker.

Due to growth they have a range of F/T, P/T and relief positions available within the Headington, Kidlington and Cowley areas of Oxfordshire and will offer you a guaranteed interview for you to find out more about whether this is the right career choice for you! Are you ready for the challenge?

What would working as a Support Worker involve?

• They provide Supported Living services and Day Services which means you are not driving from one person’s home to another. You will have a primary base of work and will be matched to the people that you support to ensure compatibility. Day Services are Monday to Friday with no night working involved. Supported Living services are 24/7 and include early, late, weekends and night shifts.
• All services are easily accessible by public transport with car parking also available.
• Working as part of a team providing active support to adults with learning disability or autism which is individual to their needs.
• Supporting people to develop life skills such as cooking, cleaning, shopping, finances, accessing education or work opportunities, support to medical appointments, trips to the cinema, theatre, day trips, etc.
• Each person is different and your role is to help them to live their lives to the full by working from a support plan which will help them achieve their goals, no matter how small or adventurous.

The Rewards:

In return they can offer you a range of benefits including excellent training and opportunities for future development, access to an occupational pension scheme, up to 28 days annual leave, sick pay, counselling service and discounts on high street shopping.

Positive about Disabled People

As a commitment to supporting disabled applicants and employees, our client has been awarded the Positive about Disabled People symbol by Jobcentre Plus.

• When you fill in the application form they will ask if you have a disability to make sure the application process is fair to people who have a disability.
