What would working as a Support Worker involve?

• Within Didcot they provide Supported Living or Respite services, which means you are not driving from one person to another persons home. You will have a primary base of work and will be matched to the people that you support to ensure compatibility.

• All services are easily accessible by public transport with car parking also available.

• Working as part of a team providing active support to adults with learning disability or autism which is individual to their needs.

• Supporting people to develop life skills such as cooking, cleaning, shopping, finances, accessing education or work opportunities, support to medical appointments, trips to the cinema, theatre, day trips, etc.

• Each person is different and your role is to help them to live their lives to the full by working from a support plan which will help them achieve their goals, no matter how small or adventurous.
