Job Title: Graphic Designer / Design Manager
Location: Watford, County of Hertfordshire
Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 per Annum
Purpose of the Graphic Designer / Design Manager Role:
This position's primary focus will be to design, implement and manage artworks and visuals for a wide range of brands on time and on-brand. This hands-on role requires a self-motivated individual with experience in product design (CAD or simulation), artwork creation, advertising, web design and print work. You will be working directly with other departments including Marketing and New Product Development so the ability to work collaboratively with a team is also essential.
Graphic Designer / Design Manager - Skills, Experience and Responsibilities:
• Degree in Graphic Design or related subject.
• At least 5 years working experience.
• Strong graphic design portfolio showcasing problem-solving skills, attention to detail and an excellent eye for layout and colour.
• Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• A good working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite applications - in particular, Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.
• HTML and / or Print production knowledge an advantage.
• Organisational skills and the ability to thrive in a deadline-driven environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to present, rationalise and articulate design ideas and decisions effectively.
• Ability to liaise with other internal departments such as NPD, Marketing and Web Development.
• Professional attitude in dealing with external clients when required.
• Ability to multitask, working on numerous projects to shifting deadlines.
• Desire to keep up to date with all clients' branding and style guides.
• Proactive approach to stay on top of design trends and technologies for new devices / platforms.
