Claims Advisor (Travel and Medical)

Hays are excited to be working in partnership with a market leading insurance company as they expand their Customer Service Team creating a number of new and exciting roles in the Farnham Area, Direct Line Group are looking to recruit an Claim Advisor for their Travel and Medical Team based in Farnham.

This position operates on a 24/7 365 days a year, rotation providing emergency assistance to policy holders whilst they are overseas. A typical shift pattern would include 6:45am - 2:15pm, 9:30am - 5:00pm 1:45pm - 9:15pm and this includes Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holiday.

As a Claims Advisor you will be responsible for assisting policy holders who require emergency assistance whilst abroad. You will need to deliver exceptional emergency care to our customers through displaying an ability to understand varying time zones, cultural differences and local infrastructure as well as many other factors.

You will have excellent communication skills, ability to work in a busy and diverse environment, effectively deal with and reassure customers who may at times find themselves in highly emotive situations overseas to be multi lingual in at least one other language. And a natural awareness, inquisitive and organised nature to understanding all areas of cost implications to the wider business, therefore an ability to provide a valuable and cost effective travel assistance solution is key.
