Position: Buyer / Purchaser – Engineering & General Supplies
Location: Chirk, Wrexham, North Wales, Nr Chester
Salary: £25,000 To £30,000
Our client is the leading global manufacturer of wood panel products. Their £250M turnover, capital intensive UK operation, employing 600 people in a 24/7 environment, produces over 1million m3 of product per year.
Buyer / Purchaser
Working in a small team, this position will take direct responsibility for purchasing a wide range of engineering and general supplies. You will work closely with their Engineering team to interpret their requirements, investigate alternatives, negotiate terms with suppliers and carry out purchase administration, all with a commercial emphasis focusing on cost reduction.
You need to be a dynamic, results oriented individual, who is capable of providing expertise and enthusiasm and who is probing, thorough and numerate. You must be able to demonstrate well developed commercial and negotiating skills, coupled with a professional and persevering approach, challenging to ensure value for money, driving savings through to the bottom line.
They expect that you will be lively and ambitious, with a track record of significant achievement in driving down costs, and willing to undertake further qualifications to broaden your skills.
