Join our Team! Experienced Butcher required in Croydon store. This is a full time permanent Butcher position. Responsible for: Preparing meat in accordance with laid down procedures and providing a high level of customer service

Butcher - How do I improve Customer Satisfaction?

• Promoting current and future offers to customers and providing relevant advice to support their choice in purchase
• Preparing meat at a high standard, both for display and at the request of the customer
• Actively engaging with customers in a professional and positive manner; meeting their needs and working to exceed their expectations
• Providing advice and giving suggestions to customers on relevant meat lines and how different meats cook
• Understanding seasonal changes and reacting accordingly

Butcher - How do I improve Cash Profit?

• Identifying different customer groups and enthusiastically engaging in sales activities
• Ensuring the availability of products and that the preparation and display is to a very high standard for all our customers
• By correctly weighing/ labelling all products and giving advice to customers on storage of the meat products
• Minimising shrinkage through efficient ordering and reduction of waste where possible
• Understanding relevant markets and competition.
• Liaising with store management/trading teams to ensure customer's needs are met

Butcher - How do I work to company standards?

• Following Health, Safe and Legal principles to maintain a safe and clean working environment
• Handling and storing all products correctly and displaying according to the latest merchandising brief
• Ensuring all products comply with the company traceability scheme
• Deputising for your manager/supervisor in their absence including ordering of stock
• Following due diligence procedures by carrying out and recording temperature checks, completing cleaning schedule, stock rotation and use by dates
• Completing basic food hygiene certificate
