Service Engineer / Plant Fitter

Duties include but are not limited to:

·          Resolve all technical problems reported regarding hire equipment

·          Servicing, repairing and modifying all types of heavy construction plant machinery

·          Reduce number of breakdowns

·          Be aware of equipment under warranty and take necessary action before undertaking any work.

·          Identify parts as required for ordering

·          Prioritize equipment in premises to be serviced and made ready for hire.

·          Customer  Service

·          Maintain Health and Safety to Company standards

·          To manage administration tasks and complete all service and repair records accurately

Person Specification

·          The ability to service, fault find and repair accordingly

·          An engineering or mechanical background (NVQ Level 2 or time served)

·          Knowledge of plant and 2 stroke engine, also powered access equipment experience would be advantageous but not essential

·          Analytical approach to problem solving

·          PC Literate

·          Good communication skills 

·          Driving licence

·          Flexible approach to customers & company requirements
