Clinical/Forensic Psychologis
Within the Women??s Service there are a range of levels of service e.g. medium secure, low secure, locked and open units. A post has arisen for a Clinical (or Forensic) Psychologist to work on the admissions unit. The successful applicant will be joining a well-established psychology department which offers professional support and a wide range of expertise.
We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable psychologist with an interest and experience in areas of Mental Illness and Personality Disorders to join our specialist forensic mental health service.
You will be an HCPC registered Clinical or Forensic Psychologist who will relish the challenge of working within a secure environment. You will also have a desire to apply your skills and expertise by providing clinical and risk assessments for our patients, collaboratively develop formulations, plan and sequence psychological interventions and consult to the MDT to enable patients to progress to the least restrictive environments.
We are seeking keen team players who have an interest in implementing and developing evidence based individual and group interventions and the development of therapeutic environments by working in consultation with multidisciplinary teams. We adopt a person-centred approach to all our care and a recovery focus towards our rehabilitation practises aiming to optimise each individual??s progress through treatment.
You will receive training and supervision and be encouraged to participate in research. You will be able to access excellent opportunities for continuing professional development.
