A Sales and Marketing Coordinator is required to join our team in Leeds.
WHAT THE SALES & MARKETING COORDINATOR JOB INVOLVES:
The Sales and Marketing Coordinator role with Unite Students is a varied and challenging one where no one day is the same. As Sales and Marketing Co-ordinator acting as the sales expert in the city, you will be playing a vital role in ensuring that customers living in our properties have a great experience. Forming part of the wider team, you will establish and embed sales best practice within the city.
Covering a number of our properties, you will be:
- Driving high standards and delivering an annual city sales schedule in line with our national Sales and Marketing strategy
- Promoting and delivering sales best practice within the city
- Taking responsibility for sales delivery, coaching and developing the city team in the skills required to sell successfully.
- Coordinating and supervising appropriate display and distribution of marketing collateral
- Developing and enhancing higher education and business to business relationships, and working effectively with University partners to coordinate city tenancy processing
- Conducting on-going analysis and monitoring of the student accommodation market, including universities, competitors and the community
- Identifying any market challenges and formulating campaigns to address this, liaising with the central marketing team
- Building and maintaining positive working relationships with key University stakeholders, local authorities and local communities.
Working in the properties you`ll be building up relationships with customers and colleagues from day one, manage and take accountability for overall property presentation and demonstrate a flexible approach to work, taking on all reasonable duties at the request of the city team managers.
Through managing and encouraging the training and development of the team and being a positive agent for change, you will support the creation of a coaching culture, leading the team by example and inspiring trust and commitment.

WHAT WE LOOK FOR IN YOU:
A genuine passion for customer service is the most important quality for us. Although you may not have worked in the accommodation, hospitality or retail sectors before, you will have had team leader, supervisory or management experience in a customer facing sales environment.
What is really important to us is that your experience will have included:
- Providing successful sales coaching and training to drive performance
- Demonstrable financial and commercial awareness, including previous experience of working with and managing costs and budgets
- Motivating others in the delivery of excellent sales performance
- Building and managing key stakeholder relationships
Personally and professionally you`ll demonstrate that you:
- Are a first class team player who possesses a positive and collegiate attitude
- Thrive on understanding, empathising and delivering against customer needs
- Possess excellent communication skills and can build relationships effectively with people
- Have a good level of computer literacy and are able to use Microsoft Office
- Are able to work at pace, whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy
- Have excellent personal time management and prioritisation skills
- Are self-motivated and able to work on your initiative
Good computer literacy, with the ability to use Microsoft Office, Outlook is also essential for this role.
