Front End / Web Designer

A Front End / Web Designer is sought to join one of the UK's leading multi-channel direct marketing companies, established for nearly 20 years. They're looking to expand their digital marketing department, who work with leading household names such as The Telegraph and Radio Times.

The organisation is a market leader in developing co-branded catalogues with the UK's largest media owners, with partnerships that have been built over many years of continued success.

They are now seeking a Front End / Web Designer to join their digital marketing team. The main focus of the role is in the layout and makeup of a rapidly growing portfolio of websites as well as providing digital collateral for all online marketing activity.

TITLE: Front End / Web Designer
LOCATION: Camden, London
SALARY: £21k - £24k per annum, dependent on experience
BENEFITS: Bonus on achievement of individual and team targets, 20 days annual leave

The Front End / Web Designer will be responsible for the following:
- Website and webpage design, coding and implementation
- Digital asset creation including banners, landing pages etc.
- Email campaign design and implementation
- Monitoring and creating awareness of competitor marketing/design activities
- Communicating design and branding to other departments

The ideal Front End / Web Designer will possess the following skills and experience:
- Excellent working knowledge of CS5 including Dreamweaver, Photoshop and Flash programmes
- Confidence in editing HTML and CSS documents
- Hands-on experience working with JQuery and Javascript
- A high level of attention to detail (verging on pedantry!)
- The ability to work in a pressurised environment
- The enthusiasm to learn new skills

This Front End / Web Designer role would suit someone looking for a fast-paced role in a publishing / media environment. It's a very hands-on role that requires excellent HTML coding and digital design skills, alongside the creativity and flair to make a difference to the company's online presence.
