Graduate Electronic Engineer/Technical Support Leeds Salary: Negotiable + 28 days holiday (including bank holidays), a contributory Pension Scheme and a friendly and relaxed working atmosphere Full Time, 40 hours per week Permanent Position available immediately QUALIFICATIONS • A degree or equivalent in Electronic Engineering. EXPERIENCE • Experience of a customer-facing role. • Familiarity with PCB layouts and reading electronic schematic diagrams. • Experience of solving customer issues in a technical environment would be advantageous. • Experience of developing embedded electronic hardware and software for test equipment would be advantageous. THE ROLE As a Graduate Electronic Engineer / Technical Support, you will be responsible for the provision of 'front line' service and repair to component level, technical support to customers for our products, primarily by phone or email and on occasion in the field. Full product training will be provided. Your responsibilities will include: • Following up and generating sales using recognised and innovative methods. • Carrying out repair and servicing of all company electronic products. • Dealing with incoming technical queries, primarily by phone or email. • Providing 'front line' technical support for our products. • Creating and maintaining technical literature. • Working to defined and agreed specifications with customers, leading to the design and development of Special Products as appropriate. • Supporting to production for manufacturing issues and provision and maintenance of test equipment, production documentation, test procedures and software as required. THE PERSON You must have excellent spoken and written English, with excellent presentation skills. The ability to fault find is essential to the position as is enthusiasm and desire to learn. You should be a self-starter who is able to prioritise and manage your own varied and occasionally time-sensitive workload.
