QUALIFICATIONS
• GCSE level or equivalent.
EXPERIENCE
• Minimum 2+ years experience within payroll.
• Experience of OLIPAY, IRIS and RED Payroll is essential.
• Knowledge of Revenue and Customs’ current legislation e.g. NI rates, statutory payments etc.
• Strong MS Outlook, Excel and Word skills are essential.
THE ROLE
As a Payroll Clerk your roles and responsibilities will include the following:
• Manually inputting workers timesheets against input sheet.
• Processing P45s, P46s and AOEs.
• Processing SSP, SMP and SPP.
• Payroll imports.
• Calculating and running payrolls.
• Scanning and indexing timesheets.
• Producing and posting all payslips.
• Invoice production, matching timesheets encompassing the 7-point check.
• Releasing invoices held back.
• Ensuring all benefit forms are completed weekly basis.
• Applying tax codes.
• Collating agency and worker re-charges.
• Deducting all pre- and post- tax deductions.
• Invoicing weekly clients.
• Producing payroll totals report for accounts department each month.
• Calculating subs and deduction of subs.
• Updating the re-charges spreadsheet daily ensuring all are logged and calculated correctly.
• Processing weekly of all credit notes, query logs and holiday requests.
• Producing all payroll reports for agencies and accounts department.
• Stopping and re-issuing cheques and BACS payments.
• Checking all invoices against payroll to check names, hours and amounts are correct.
THE PERSON
You must possess a flexible and adaptable approach to work, displaying a meticulous approach. You must have excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail and be highly organised with the ability to prioritise your workload.
