Windows Support Analyst - 3rd Line, SQL, VMware, Hyper-V
An excellent opportunity has arisen wit a leading finance company based in central London for a Windows Support Analyst (3rd Line, SQL, VMware, Hyper V) to join an existing team in supporting the company's core infrastructure which expands across 3 UK offices with over 1000 users.
On joining the Windows Support Analyst (3rd Line, SQL, VMware, Hyper V) will hit the ground running with the support of the companies database systems (based on SQL) while taking the lead on planned project work to Virtualise all of the company's existing physical servers to virtual.
In terms of skills required for the role, experience of working with SQL to a high level is essential. This includes the ability to write SQL queries, perform SQL updates and diagnose then resolve all SQL incidents. We are not looking for a DBA just SQL ability within an infrastructure function. In terms of desirables, strong experience across the Windows stack (inclusive of Exchange and Active Directory would be beneficial as would expertise of virtualising servers with either VMware OR Hyper-V.
