Engineering Manager - Livingston

We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced automotive Engineering Depot Manager, you would be joining one of the largest passenger transport companies in the UK.

In this role you will be in charge of all engineering aspects which include maximising productivity and minimising lost mileage, whilst focusing on standards and health & safety practices. You will guide the team and lead by example delivering best practice and improvement on a daily basis. With overall responsibility for daily operations, your job will be to provide high quality engineering support.

Key Requirements include:

• Delivery of agreed plans and budgets, including agreed level of fleet and facilities maintenance.
• Manage repeat defect and breakdown analysis and rectification processes.
• Promote good communications and teamwork between Engineering and Operations.
• To consult and negotiate with trade union representatives on local industrial relations issues.
• Meet engineering performance, quality, H&S and environmental targets defined by local and Group KPIs.
• Maintain full establishment levels for both skilled and unskilled staff.
• Ensure vehicles comply with all statutory regulations.

My clients are looking to appoint an exceptional, experienced PCV/HGV orientated manager with suitable engineering qualifications and relevant workshop experience in a transport environment. The successful candidate will be pro-active, self-motivated and experienced in P&L budgetary control.
