HIAB Driver (class 1 C+E) required for busy Plant Hire Organisation to carry out deliveries and collections of equipment to customers. Must have current HIAB licence, CPCS card and full DCPC hours. Frequent nights out will be required as part of the role.
Duties Include;
To load and secure all equipment onto your vehicles accordingly to health & safety regulations
To transport equipment safely and competently, with due regard to legal requirements and limits at all times
To install equipment when delivered, advising the customer on best positioning, where necessary, ensuring the customer knows how to operate the equipment correctly and that it is working before leaving site
To ensure delivery and collection paperwork is completed correctly and legibly with signatures, dates, times, plant no’s. Any damage to the equipment must be documented on all paperwork and signed by site contact
To complete basic maintenance and safety checks on your vehicles and other ancillary equipment on a daily basis, complete defect sheets as required and hand in to the transport office. Ensure that the vehicle & cab is cleaned regularly
To ensure that you have all necessary paperwork, licences and identification to hand in the event of being required to produce for officials. (eg. Crane & chain certs etc.)
To maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, internal and external customers and suppliers and represent the company in a professional manner
To actively promote Garic products and services to customers when the opportunity arises by handing out product brochures and verbal promotion
To comply with company health & safety policy and Tachograph legislation.
To keep your knowledge and skills up to date and to keep abreast of new developments and best practice within your field of work
