LOGISTICS / STORES TEAM LEADER - £20000 - £25000 - BASED SHEFFIELD
This business is recognised as the leading expert in the design & manufacture of emergency lighting products and condensate pumps and has developed an increasing demand for energy efficient lighting and controls over the last two years. They are now looking to appoint a Logistics Stores Team Leader to continue the growth in this field.
Responsible for managing the Logistics and Stores control function. This role will be responsible for the inbound/outbound logistics in addition to the responsibility of overall inventory accuracy and storage and coordination and control of non-conforming material. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the quarantined material store area and the staff within it.

MAIN DUTIES - LOGISTICS / STORES TEAM LEADER
You’ll be responsible for:
- Strategic stock management including coordinating and managing stock levels and the consumption of material purchased and ensuring KPI metrics are measured and achieved.
- Inbound and outbound logistics
- Inventory accuracy & storage including checking stock levels and correcting stock errors and improving storage process / methodology.
- Obsolescence stock management
- Managing the quarantined material area and operation.
- Managing the existing booking process and resolve any RFI issues raised.
- Participating in and contributing to the defining of supply chain strategies as part of continuous improvement actions.
- Ensuring that the Company's quality, environment health & safety policies are communicated, understood and implemented within areas under their control.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED - LOGISTICS / STORES TEAM LEADER
To be successful, you will have:
- Experience in a related discipline such as logistics, supply chain, inventory management, material planning
- Previous proven experience in leading a team in the successful delivery of an Inventory Management / Stores function
- Good understanding of manufacturing operations.
- People Management capability and good communication skills.
- Good experience and skills in SAP, Microsoft Excel and a high degree of IT literacy.
- Self motivation
- Demonstrable ability to work as part of a team
