Foster Carer

Almost anyone can become a Foster Carer. Provided you are over the age of 21, it doesn't matter how old you are, if you are single or in a relationship, or if you're a man or a woman.

Vulnerable children and young people need new homes where they are safe and can start to enjoy life again. They can't do this without the help of a Foster Carer, and that's where you come in.

Becoming a Foster Carer to one or more children requires flexibility, commitment, patience and a willingness to learn new skills. You'll need to be available to offer a child around the clock support in your own home, on a long term basis. Do you have what it takes?

Title: Foster Carer
Location: Southampton, Winchester and surrounding areas
Placement Fee Structure: £367.26 per week for a child up to 5 years old / £387.22 per week for a child between the ages of 6-12 years old / £413.40 per week for a child who is 13 years of age plus

To become a Foster Carer, you must:
- Have a spare bedroom available in your home
- Be over the age of 21
- Be a resident of the UK
- Have full time availability or a flexible working pattern
- Have the desire to help a child in need, and help them to enjoy life as a part of your family

This fostering charity, accredited by Ofsted as "Outstanding", offers a high-level of social work support, alongside access to a Family Support Service, so you can get all the help you need. All new Foster Carers are automatically registered with the Foster Network, which provides insurance cover and free legal advice.
