Software Engineer

A Software Engineer is sought to join this small privately owned company in Stevenage, Hertfordshire. They have been established for over 15 years delivering specialised bespoke embedded control and monitoring software hand-held products to large-scale systems.

They are looking for an Embedded Software Engineer to join the small and friendly team. You will work closely with the senior engineering team and be involved in the development and maintenance of real-time object oriented software components for products and systems.

TITLE: Software Engineer
LOCATION: Stevenage, Hertfordshire
SALARY: £25K - £35K dependent on experience

The ideal Software Engineer will possess:
-Excellent technical skills and embedded software experience
-Very strong documentation skills and high attention to detail for customer quality conformance
-Previous experience of working in a customer facing / consultancy role
-A 'small company' attitude
-Security clearance an advantage but not essential

To succeed in this role as a Software Engineer you will be expected to:
-Hold a strong academic background with an excellent degree in engineering, physics, computer sciences or mathematics
-Have experience of developing software for any of the following platforms VxWorks, QNX, pSOS, UNIX and or API
-Have experience of developing software for any of the following micro controllers: ARM, ATMEL, PIC, Power PC, TI, AD and or X86
-Have experience of developing software using C, Corba, Databases, Java and/or Perl
