A very exciting role for a senior Corporate Partnerships Manager has arisen within a high profile global charity in East London.
Hours: 35 hours per week
Salary: £39,999 + Complimentary Lunch, Pension Scheme, Simply Health medical plan, free parking and interest free season ticket loan
Contract: Initially a 1 year fixed contract with the view to go permanent
Summary of job
To lead our corporate partnership team in generating new business and maximizing our partnerships in order to deliver substantial income and non-financial resources for the charity.
About you
You will be an experienced manager with significant experience in fundraising. Highly organised, you will be an excellent communicator and presenter who is self motivated and confident in working across a range of partners in the private sector.
Key objectives:
Key Tasks
- To lead the corporate partnerships function, ensuring it supports the Fundraising Department to delivers all objectives outlined in the TSA 2014-2018 Corporate Strategy.
- To lead the development and management of high value, complex relationships including current and new partnerships.
- To lead the development and implementation of plans to maximise our income opportunities from all corporate partnerships and grow our corporate partnership income from £1 million to
- £2.5 million over the next 3 years.
- To maximise each partnership opportunity by developing multi-year sustainable partnerships that include income from a range of income streams, including sponsorship, charity of the year, general donations, and gift in kind.
- To ensure all corporate partnerships, where possible, provide meaning full opportunities and ensure that all key local volunteers are fully engaged and aware of partnerships within their area.
- To lead in the intelligence gathering around new and innovative corporate partnerships, ensuring that TSA are always at the forefront of corporate partnership fundraising.
- To create and implement new strategies, tools and processes that demonstrates an effect rate of return on corporate investment thereby supporting the growth and renewal of current partnerships.• To manage good governance in the Corporate Partnerships team by setting a high standard for external reporting.
- To play a key role in ensuring the team meet any contractual requirements of our corporate partners and to work with the Assistant Director of Fundraising and Marketing to mitigate any issues should they arise.
- To take the lead in ensuring TSA’s current portfolio of partners continue to meet the requirements of the Charity’s Ethical Fundraising Policy.
- To be responsible for the management and development of the corporate partnership executives, including monitoring the delivery of objectives, carrying out appraisals and ensuring that training needs are met.
- To support the Assistant Director of Fundraising and Marketing in the development of a compelling and forward-looking fundraising case for support, to drive both general and restricted funds.
- To establish and manage effective systems that evaluate performance of the account management function; monitor and evaluate income/expenditure/net contribution against budget and other agreed KPIs; report on variances and implement appropriate contingency
- plans to ensure targets and KPIs are achieved.
- To manage team’s budget and ensure that results are regularly monitored and that all expenditure is in line with budget.
- To increase the opportunities for youth Members of all ages to represent the organisation externally including at events and through the media, nationally and locally (shared with some senior managers in Directorate).
Experience Required:
Essential skills and experience
- Significant experience in fundraising environment with proven examples of successfully
- generating significant income, ideally over £1 million.
- Managing large complex fundraising projects from inception to completion, building case
- for support for variety of projects.
- Experience of researching and analysing financial and fundraising information and data.
- Extensive management and relationship building experience with key individuals and
- Partners within corporates and businesses.
- Ability to work independently within broad policy, professional standards and budgetary limits.
- Ability to prioritise and manage workload of a team of staff.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills.
- Lead Manage, Motivate and support team members.
- Ability to present information to an audience using a variety of modern techniques.
- Work to deadlines and pay attention to detail.
- Support organisation through advice, practical tools and training.
