They now have an exciting opportunity available for a Lecturer in Foundation to join them at their Houghall Campus.

As a Lecturer, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of Land Based Foundation programmes. You will be expected to work flexibly and effectively in order to maintain the highest professional standards.

Monitoring student attendance, retention, achievement and progression, you will prepare learning materials and student assignments whilst marking students work, examinations and paperwork. Promoting and guiding students’ progression into supported employment and independent living, you will participate in student visits and College promotional events, undertake interviews and offer information, advice and guidance to students as and when required.

The successful candidate will possess a recognised Level 4 teaching qualification such as; Cert Ed, PGCE or DTTLS and have a relevant subject specialist qualification to a minimum of Level 3. With excellent communication and organisational skills, you will have significant vocational experience of the sector and have a good understanding of Safeguarding children and vulnerable adults.

With the ability to work effectively as part of a team, you will have strong report writing skills and be capable of accurately monitoring and analysing data. Furthermore, candidates must have full IFL Membership and be willing to achieve CPD targets in line with College and IFL procedures.

Candidates who hold an Assessor Award, an IV Award and a SEN qualification are highly desirable however this is not essential.
