Chef – Part time

This position is based in Alderley Edge, Cheshire.

The Care Home is situated on the outskirts of the residential village of Alderley Edge, a short drive from the picturesque Cheshire countryside and within a short walking distance of the local shops, library, doctors' surgery and pharmacy. It is located close to the train station, which provides easy access to Greater Manchester.

The Care Home caters for up to 43 elderly people in luxurious hotel-style accommodation. The home provides many opportunities for its residents to socialise in day rooms located on each floor, which include a dining room and lounge area with comfortable seating and opulent décor. The day room on the second floor has French doors leading to a balcony with a patio area, which overlooks the garden. A quiet lounge is also available and a south-facing patio area can be found outside. The Care Home also benefits from an on-site hairdressing salon.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part time Chef to join this expanding company.

As a Chef your duties will include:

• Reporting to the Care Manager, you will be responsible for preparing, cooking and serving meals chosen by the Service Users, from the menu for the day using stock as required as economically as possible whilst still maintaining the quality without undue waste, shortages or excesses.

An ideal Chef will hold the following skills and experiences:

• Must have relevant catering qualifications and experience.
• Should have experience in catering and hold a basic food hygiene qualification.

In return you will receive a salary of £7.33 per hour.
