CNC MILLER / PROGRAMMER - HEIDENHAIN CONTROLS - £27000 + OVERTIME - BASED HOCKLEY, BIRMINGHAM

This is an exciting opportunity to join a well established, financially sound engineering company based at its purpose built factory near Birmingham city centre. The company designs, manufactures and assembles precision components, machine tools and associated work station fixtures for the aerospace, automotive and nuclear industries. They have invested heavily in new machinery including state of the art CNC technology and the role is varied and interesting,

The role offers a good basic salary of £27k per annum based on a 39 hour week with regular paid overtime (time and a half) and an annual profit related bonus. Core hours are Monday - Thursday 7.30am - 4.30pm and Friday 7.30am - 3.00pm.

MAIN DUTIES - CNC MILLER / PROGRAMMER

Reporting to the Works Manager, you’ll be responsible for setting, programming and operation of CNC milling machines with Heidenhain controls. Based in the contract tool room, you’ll work to tight timescales and stringent quality standards. The job involves use of a variety of CNC milling machines ranging from Bridgeport at the smaller end to an MTE Bed Mill with a 3 metre table at the other end of the scale.

KEY SKILLS & EXPERIENCE - CNC MILLER / PROGRAMMER

- Significant demonstrable track record of CNC setting and CNC programming
- Exceptional eye for detail and quality control
- Proven capability to work using your own initiative
