Main Responsibilities:

- Manage broad range of projects, ensuring delivery of all milestones and deliverable benefits
- Lead the electrical design compliance related to process controls systems with the goal of ensuring that the final agreed design meets the electrical legislative requirements of the machinery directive
- Act as lead electrical engineer on safety related electrical projects with the ability to review and challenge external contractors and competent design authorities to ensure compliance with all associated legislative regulation
- Act as the lead technical engineer on electrical design on a range of innovative and bespoke projects
- Taking responsibility for a team of project engineers
- Ensuring projects are fit-for-purpose and adheres to the project budget and schedule
- Ensuring all relevant safety objectives and legal requirements are observed
- Accounting for engineering tasks to ensure they meet contract requirements
- Developing project-specific procedures for the work to be carried out
- Interpreting requirements, identifying and addressing design parameters and engineering problems and ensuring solutions are implemented
- Evaluating, organising and prioritising work within the overall project schedule
- Liaising and managing third party contractors to ensure all equipment is fit for purpose
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of safety work procedures and rules
- Ensure the people within your team fully understand their legal SHE responsibilities
- As a top tier COMAH site all managers should drive and promote understanding of relevant COMAH requirements within the area
- Monitor competence and training plans for all staff within the area to ensure they are up to date and relevant
